Jacob Contius, (b. 30th Jan 1990), was the eldest child of Angela and Torrance Contius. He had two siblings, Andrew Contius and Maya Contius.
Jacob's father died at Christmas in 2005 from a Heart Attack. The whole family witnessed his death as it happened during Christmas Dinner. Jacob tried to save his father, giving CPR, even though he was only fifteen-years-old.
His mother suffered from depression following the death of her husband and Jacob took on more responsibility within the family, especially around the anniversary of his father's death each year. Angela Contius attempted suicide on Christmas Eve four years after the death of her husband.

Jacob asks his brother, Andrew to arrange an internship for their younger sister, Maya. Shortly after Christmas, Angela Contius attempts suicide again.
